The short version

You don't need an account, and we never ask for your login to any video platform.
We don't keep copies of the videos you download.
We collect a small amount of technical and usage data to run, secure and improve the site.
We don't sell your personal data.

What we collect

Links you paste. To fetch a video we process the link you enter. We keep anonymous counts (for example, how many TikTok links were analysed and whether they worked) to find broken downloaders. We do not build a history of links per person.

Usage and device data. Our servers receive your IP address, browser type, device type, language and the pages you visit. We use our own privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and measure page speed. IP addresses are used for security and rate limiting (such as the hourly download limit) and not to identify you.

Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or e-mail us, we keep your name, e-mail address and message so we can reply.

Cookies and local storage. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies or local storage entries, for example to remember your language or protect the site from abuse. If we add analytics or advertising cookies that need consent, we will ask first where the law requires it.

Why we use it (legal bases)

To provide the downloader you asked for (performance of a service).
To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits (legitimate interests).
To answer your messages (legitimate interests or your consent).
To meet legal obligations, such as handling valid copyright notices.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to host the site, deliver e-mail and protect against attacks. They process data only on our instructions. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Server and security logs: up to 30 days. Aggregated, anonymous statistics: longer. Support messages: up to 24 months, then deleted.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Write to {support_email}; we reply within 30 days.

Children

ClipNest is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
